Apart from the celebrated collections of the Yusupov, Stroganov and Sheremetev families, highly esteemed were ‘museums’ of Grand Dukes, a considerable part of which arrived at the Hermitage later. This exhibition showcases several items from the collection of Grand Duke Sergey Alexandrovich, the fourth son of Alexander II and Empress Maria Alexandrovna, that, only to some extent, illustrate his collecting activities and interests.
